TOP250 October: A Very Close Win

The winner of the TOP250 promotion for the month of October has been determined - and it was very close. Less than 1,000 StrategyPoints separated the winner DuneBuggy from his pursuer RiF!

DuneBuggy remained true to his reputation and secured $10,000 in prize money once again. It is said that DuneBuggy only tries to get first place every other month. After his wins in April, June and August, he has now won the TOP250 promotion for the fourth time.

However, it was extremely close, as his biggest opponent and two-time TOP250 winner RiF was following hard on his heels: Only 846 StrategyPoints separated him from DuneBuggy.

DrAction was also around. For the second time in a row, he finished in third place, crossing the 100,000 StrategyPoints mark by a wide margin, as did both DuneBuggy and RiF.

The mysterious garandou also survived in fifth position and can look forward to $3,000 in prize money. Last but not least, a member from the Russian community is also present: DrunkMaster finished in sixth place and receives $3,000 like garandou.

Information about the delay of the ranking update

We regret the delay of the publication of the final result of the TOP250 promotion for October. As Mansion Poker still had to work out some remaining corrections in their database for the last few weeks, we are only now able to present a reliable final result.

Other update delays of the past were caused by a lack of data from a few platforms as well. However, we will now carry out our regular updates, regardless of these circumstances. At Unibet Poker and Betfair, we still lack one day from each for the October ranking. However, we have received assurances that this will not have any effects on the overall ranking.

We always try to acquire the missing data as quickly as possible, however there are problems at times on the side of the poker platforms. Of course, we will notify you in the future about gaps in the ranking updates if necessary.

Already over $1 million in promotion bonuses in 2008
From January to November, we will have given away over one million dollars in bonuses to our top players. Exactly $1,040,000! The top finisher of this month will, as usual, receive a $10,000 bonus. We wish every PokerStrategist good luck and a successful November!

Top250 payout

 

Those of you who have managed to get a bonus have probably seen the "Top250 Payout" box on the Home page. But what is it for?

It gives the winners of our promotion the possibility to decide for themselves when and where the bonus should be paid out. You are able to choose from either Titan Poker or PartyPoker at the monent. The only condition is that you have earned at least one StrategyPoint on the desired platform.
