Bluff Call
A bluff call is a call made to represent an hand that one does not hold. The bluff call is part of a multi-phase setup for the actual bluff, which usually consists of winning the pot with a weak hand by bringing the opposition to folding in a later round. A bluff call might be made to give the impression that one is slowplaying. It might also be meant to represent a draw.
One use of the bluff call is the float, or calling of a continuation bet after a raise to snatch the pot in a future round should the opposition check or show other signs of weakness or readiness to fold.
