Pius came into his first World Series with an already impressive online portfolio. He has a $61k pay-day from winning the Sunday Mulligan on FTP back in July of 2010 as well as a $30k win on PokerStars back in January of this year. In total, Pius has amassed over $698,000 in lifetime earnings – just online. He adjusted well into the live game and earned an additional WSOP final table appearance after placing 7th in Event 48 $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em.

Pius is also the first German to ever make it to a WSOP Main Event final table. Like many next-gen players, he was influenced by watching the WSOP events on TV and played kitchen table games with his friends with 10 Euro buy-ins each week. Eventually he discovered online poker and made a modest 200 Euro deposit. He started with $1 tournaments and with proper bankroll management techniques got to where he is today.
